Michelle Chiang

PSYCHOLOGIST


Michelle is empathic, caring, and deeply wants the best for all her clients. For many years, she consulted with organisations, working with financial management, executives, medical professionals, lawyers, teachers, and engineers on how to manage and better their day to day life.

She has extensive experience working with young adults, teenagers, and their family members. Michelle brings a sense of acceptance and warmth and holds a safe space where her clients are free to explore, discuss, and collaboratively work through their current or past issues.

Michelle is particularly passionate at helping people work through their relationship conflict, personal challenges, transitions, stress, and improving one's psychological resilience. Michelle adopts a philosophy that fosters a sense of resilience and approaching life’s difficulties and disappointments with an expansion attitude and one of acceptance. Michelle assists her clients to understand and better manage their day to day emotional self. It is her goal to work collaboratively with clients and to empower them with problem solving skills, self-efficacy, emotional regulation and helpful internal dialogue.

She believes that therapy should not be unpleasant or arduous but an empowering experience that can be personally rewarding and enhance emotional maturity and growth. She enjoys the opportunity to help individuals and families achieve their desired goals and potential throughout their work and family life.

Michelle has studied and travelled to various parts of the world (e.g. Canada, Britain, and America just to name a few) and loves the richness of different cultures and history. She is a true believer in personal growth, and that no one is ever too old to learn and/or change their behaviours.

Steve Golding

COUNSELLOR / PSYCHOTHERAPIST


Steve is an experienced Counsellor, having worked as a School Counsellor in both primary and secondary settings for the last 20 years and part time in Private Psychotherapy Practice.

He works with Children, Adolescents and Adults. He has significant experience helping clients deal with the effects of Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and the dynamics of relationships including friendships and family. He has a mindful and compassionate approach that builds on the client’s innate resources and strengths.

Steve has trained in level 1 & 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which focuses on the Treatment of Trauma and Developmental and Attachment Issues. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a Somatic approach to Therapy with embedded Directed Mindfulness and a focus on the impact of Trauma on the Body and Nervous System.

Steve has also trained in Expressive Therapies for Children and Adolescents, which uses the modalities of Sandplay, Symbolwork and Expressive Arts in Emotional Release Counselling. These approaches allow for right brain expression and processing of difficult emotions and traumatic material for children and adolescents.

Isabella Hohnke

PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST


Isabella (Bella for short) is a Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences. She believes in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. She understands the importance of adapting techniques and strategies to ensure they are accessible for clients with neurodivergence and intellectual disabilities.

Bella's previous experience is as a Senior Support Worker in a disability centre, where she supported individuals with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and intellectual disabilities. This experience strengthened her belief in the importance of fostering self-awareness, emotional well-being, and independence in those she works with.

Bella’s areas of interest include supporting children, adolescents, and adults with concerns related to anxiety, stress, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and self-development. She values an individualised and collaborative approach to therapy, ensuring that clients feel in control of their own growth and healing journey.

Drawing from a range of strengths-based approaches and positive psychology, Bella aims to help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and gain clarity in their personal and emotional lives. She is committed to guiding each person toward greater self-understanding, confidence, and long-term well-being.

Aislinn Sharp

PSYCHOLOGIST


Aislinn is a caring psychologist, here to listen and help you. Using collaborative and strength-based approaches, Aislinn believes therapy should be an empowering and rewarding process that fosters client resilience and personal growth. She is passionate about assisting clients with problem solving and reaching desired goals, emotional regulation, and creating helpful and positive self-talk, dialogue and relationships with others.

Aislinn brings a holistic approach to her work, offering a well-rounded perspective that resonates with many.

Aislinn applies a broad range of talking therapies to help with anxiety and depression, and positive psychology approaches to assist with optimal mental health and wellbeing. These approaches include, for example, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Growth Mindset, and Narrative Therapy.

Aislinn has years of experience working with university students helping with anxiety and self-regulation, and offering support coping and thriving with studies, and taking exams.

Combining her knowledge and experience as a psychologist and music artist in the entertainment industry, Aislinn provides quality performance psychology, and mental health-based one-to-one consults. Her experience includes working with pre-tertiary and tertiary music students at both Open and Queensland Conservatorium (Griffith University), as well as schools (e.g., Grace Lutheran College, Caboolture) offering support with managing performance anxiety, emotional regulation, and finding joy in music activities.

Aislinn has also worked extensively in career and employment support for a number of years through Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University offering individuals career support in building self-awareness and "world of work" knowledge.

Aislinn's experience as a psychologist includes providing organisational support to assist employees struggling at work, or who would like to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

With knowledge and training in organisational psychology and extensive experience across Government, education and retail settings, Aislinn is available to provide services through our Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and WorkCover.

Linda-Ann Northey

SENIOR COUNSELLOR & PRACTICE MANAGER


Linda-Ann (also known as LA) is a highly experienced Senior Counsellor, Consultant, and Practice Manager, bringing over 25 years expertise in counselling, leadership, and professional consulting to our team. Passionate about supporting clients including individuals, couples, and families, Linda-Ann provides a safe and empowering space for people to navigate life’s challenges while building resilience and hope toward recovery.

Her extensive background includes specialist work in domestic and family violence, sexual assault, and women’s health, along with leadership roles in program management, specialist sector advocacy, and state-wide reform. She has managed women’s and children’s services, counselling programs, court support initiatives, men’s specialist intervention programs, and women’s advocacy projects contributing to meaningful change across multiple sectors.

Linda-Ann’s expertise extends beyond clinical work and on the ground management support having also served in high-level governance and leadership roles including as inaugural President of the Ending Violence Against Women Qld Peak Body [EVAWQ] for four years and Board Member with the Federation of Psychotherapists and Counsellors of Qld [FPCQ] for two years.

Linda-Ann holds a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education, complemented by a Diploma of Business Management and specialist qualifications in responding to domestic violence.

Known for her compassion, warmth, and unobtrusive strengths-based approach, Linda-Ann fosters deep trust with clients encouraging them to explore any challenges or concerns in a safe and supportive space. She offers individual, couples, and family counselling sessions with both face-to-face and telehealth options.

Primarily available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Linda-Ann also offers additional sessions for clients on other days by appointment.

Tina

RECEPTIONIST


Tina is one of our Receptionists, bringing a background in business and administration to our team. Tina has a Bachelor of Business and aspires to pursue Honours in Business Administration in future studies. She has a strong sense of empathy and a passion for supporting and educating young people. Tina values the practice’s commitment to client wellbeing and finds her role both rewarding and impactful. Outside of work, Tina enjoys reading novels and spending quality time with her cat, family, and friends.

Isaac

RECEPTIONIST


Isaac is the newest member of our Reception team and is preparing to begin his studies in Architecture at QUT this year. Isaac is caring, approachable, and dedicated to assisting clients with their enquiries. He enjoys being part of the practice and is always happy to help however he can. In his free time, Isaac can often be found rock climbing or spending time with family and friends.
